The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. These two fey live in the woods near my home. They prefer a certain willow tree that has fallen down and taken root in many places along its trunk sprouting many new little trees. I believe they are the ones causing all the sprouting since I had never seen them until the tree came down. Gives meaning to the term "new life from the old". They are keeping this tree eternal.
About Carrie Skinner
Carrie Viscome Skinner was born in Fulton NY in 1952 and now resides in the woods in Sterling NY with her Husband of 40+ years, a dog named Raven and about 20 chickens. Though Carrie studied art through college and museum courses she considers herself mostly a self-taught artist. She began her art career in the 1960's painting and selling portraits in acrylics, watercolors and pastels. She has also worked with various other media including silk screen printing, clay, wood and stone sculpting, fiber arts, and jewelry making and creating small, personalized books filled with her poetry and art.
