The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. She is the caretaker of the holly tree and a friend to the wolves. Her presence can be felt all through the year but winter is her time to run with the wolves in the snow and cold. If you are one to take to the woods when the flakes start to descend then you may catch a glimpse of her as a flash of red and green just beyond your peripheral vision. You may also hear the sound of her laughter mingling with the howls of the wolves. Don't be alarmed. She is one of the friendliest faeries you will meet in the forest and has been known on occasion to guide the lost to safety.
About Carrie Skinner
Carrie Viscome Skinner was born in Fulton NY in 1952 and now resides in the woods in Sterling NY with her Husband of 40+ years, a dog named Raven and about 20 chickens. Though Carrie studied art through college and museum courses she considers herself mostly a self-taught artist. She began her art career in the 1960's painting and selling portraits in acrylics, watercolors and pastels. She has also worked with various other media including silk screen printing, clay, wood and stone sculpting, fiber arts, and jewelry making and creating small, personalized books filled with her poetry and art.
